Located in the northeastern part of Africa, the Sudanese people have suffered greatly over the last decade. A series of civil wars have left the country stripped of basic healthcare needs. It is estimated that nearly 2 million have had to flee the country, or are living in substandard living conditions. We have only gone into the Sudan a few times because of the risk, however the Sudanese who still live there are very welcoming and eager to receive help. The last time we were there we worked with an agency trying to help children who had been child soldiers. They are in desperate need and we hope that one day we can return.
