Located in Central America, just south of Mexico, this country is about the size of Ohio in the U.S. It is one of the most incredibly beautiful countries we’ve ever visited. Most of the people living there live below the poverty line but is the largest population in Latin America. Most of the population are younger, under the age of 19…and in desperate need of dental care. Malnutrition is often at the heart of the dental problems. Because of the extreme poverty, most Guatemalans suffer greatly from dental pain and infection that could easily be remedied with basic dental care.
